Nah, more like— if Kai was a Rin unit?
There was something some did like… months ago, I forget when or who exactly, of their muses as a different Vocaloid? or kaito’s as meikos or. Something something something. I forget if Ry did something on that too.
But I saw those and decided to draw Rin as a Kaito unit and Kai as a Rin unit
(oh, guess it was over a year ago. Huh.)
It kinda helps that I guess in general I kinda view Vocaloids bases as… … I guess… … almost more like species? Like, pokemon?
A Kaito Unit, A Rin unit, A Len Unit, one of many, but the individual units are different from another of the same type. Their own person. Kinda how I view multi-model interpretation/AU stuff, I guess?
So doing unit-switches is completely intriguing and interesting to me, and it’s also interesting thinking how different maybe things would be, or how similar. Like, I’m pretty sure Rin!Kai’s Len would be Third-kun as a Len unit instead or something.
…in which I ramble more than I need to that’s unrelated to the question, but!!! yeah, Rin!Kai is Kai as a Rin unit, as opposed to a fusion of normal-verse Rin and Kai. =v= )b
