couldn’t bring myself to draw so I drew an upset(tired?) young Kai

just random kai rambling, but more on past portrayal and. stuff. lightly.

seeing the talk of Kai a few years ago is quite interesting

I really was at a crossroads back then… and reading some of this I’ve realizing, even before I started talking to Aisu I was leaning more…. away from the…. totally antagonistic portrayal

Which…. thinking about it, had been a gradual thing from the start, I just kind of held onto it just a bit since with pre-V3 stuff it seemed….. expected….? Like I had to….? Considering.

It wasn’t until the first Kaitou situation that I totally decided to look more into their other sides and not just the ‘bad’ side

Which, I’m glad for, because in going that direction I actually managed to flesh them out more and get more of their true character through and other such things.

even if that first Kaitou thing is retconned now, I’m still keeping the basic change there— it’s just likely in the new timeline something else probably had Kai realize and try more.

which has me wonder what exactly, now….. I guess perhaps Rin talking about her nightmares more openly to them? Maybe? Hmmmmm…….

regardless, current time is essentially a couple or so years after whenever it happened, so.

Again, as mentioned on that post, based on the lines in the Horror route for that dating markiplier thing, when Darkiplier shows up and all of that. Seriously, I just… couldn’t not kind of think of Glitch-mode Kai, so I. Had to do this.

I kinda— wanted to redesign the Omega Kai idea? Still clearly based on Omega Flowey, but…. still more Kai.

though they don’t have a TV head, their face is a screen and functions about the same way. Static, Various images creepy or not, the face for expression, all that stuff. ~~I’d even almost wanna jokingly say it’d work like a computer if they wanted asdfgh~~

Stomach eye became a…… weird demon head. Though it opens up all in half, the back of it can also likely stay closed and turn into an entrance into a ‘void’, like main-verse Kai’s stomach eye.

This isn’t attached to a specific AU either, it’s just a… concept? Idea? if it was the UT Mint AU Kai, then there’d be some added features like the coat fluff turned neck fluff or somethin’, or maybe the sholder plate things if when they were King… but as is, I just left it as just general Kai themes.

Should one be worried about this? …Eh, depends on what the situation is. Since not connected with an AU, I guess it could be either ‘not really’ or ‘yes very yes’

…’course, they do still have their glitch modes regardless, and corruption, so… yeah, depends.
